dscn1365.jpg (53018 bytes) This is the outside view of the site on Peavine, which houses the 147.060 and the 444.800 repeaters. Also there is a packet node (pvnpk) on 145.05.
dscn1360.jpg (69316 bytes) Pictured here is the 444.800 repeater (left) while the rack on the right houses the controller and power supply.
DSCN1651a.JPG (37026 bytes) On the right is the 147.060 (2m) repeater. The duplexers are on the very top of the rack. center is the link radio to Eagle Ridge, and on the bottom is the repeater receiver, transmitter and power supply.
DSCN2165a.jpg (378341 bytes) This is the outside view of the repeater site on Eagle Ridge, near Silver Springs, NV. There are quite a few commercial tenants occupying this site, hence the large number of antennas on this tower. The repeater antenna is located at the very top.
DSCN2171a.jpg (45347 bytes) The 147.360 repeater is shown in this picture, and the link radio to Peavine is directly below the duplexers.
DSCN2163a.jpg (128872 bytes) Here is one of the reasons I enjoy going to these sites: the fantastic view, much like being on top of the world. This is looking east, and will give an idea of the coverage area of the 147.360 repeater, as the placement of the antenna favors the east.
DSCN2178a.jpg (143525 bytes) Some of the permanent residents of the area. Much of this area is a reclaimed open pit mine, and is a wildlife protection area.
dscn2183.jpg (61844 bytes) This is the 440.025 repeater located at Red Peak. This overlooks the Truckee Meadows also providing good coverage up hwy 395 at least as far as Red Rock, and west on I80 at least as far as Verdi.
