Dead Man's Canyon

This is an area near Washoe Lake, called "Dead Man's Canyon." There is a short trail taking the hiker  to the top to enjoy a nice view of the area.

A view a short way up the trail, looking up the canyon. As canyons go, this isn't much, but worth it for the view.

You can see in some of these pictures that there was a fire recently.

Just before the trail started climbing, there is a brush covered area where the effects of the fire can more easily be seen.

Quite a bit of effort was put into improving this little area, as you can see by the little wooden bridge and bench.
